Madrid, 28th september, 2026. Three female researchers from IMDEA Nanoscience have won three of the six awards presented by the Fondazione Alessandra Bono during the third edition of the Doctoral Nanochemistry Camp 2026, held September 19–26 on the shores of Lake Iseo in Italy.
The award recipients were Narzaya Ganbat, from the Molecular Motor Manipulation Laboratory led by Borja Ibarra, Cristina Sánchez-Carrizo, from the Intracellular Temperature Measurements Laboratory, led by Sebastian Thompson; and Patricia Jiménez Hernández, from the Switchable Nanomaterials Laboratory, headed by Dr. José Sánchez Costa. These awards recognize the quality and impact of the research they are conducting in the field of nanoscale science.
The prestigious international summer school, organized by the I.S.E.O. Institute in collaboration with the University of Brescia and the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, brings together young researchers and world-class experts—including Nobel Prize laureates—in the field of nanochemistry every year.
